The next wave of renewal for music scenes could come from outside the Western world, from the developing countries called “Next Eleven” (Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines, Turkey, South Korea and Vietnam). Their over-driven economic metabolisms will generate all manner of social tensions and cultural rifts, which could spawn some 21st Century musical form. A form where sound is fully meshed with visual imagery and created simultaneously.
"Next Eleven Paper" gives a visual context to those new musical scenes and redefines the way we promote music, filling the gap between physical object and digital media. The newspaper comes with an Augmented Reality application called “N-11”. Hear the sound of the mexican underground music by scanning the images with the personalized barcode. Sounds will mix together if more than one image is scanned at the same time.
